The Role
We are looking for a Senior Dev
Ops Engineer; open, well organised and methodical, passionate about technology, to join our team. You will collaborate with product engineering teams and other specialists to deliver and support platforms that align to cloud well architected framework pillars. Our technical stack is primarily ADO, Azure cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, Akamai but also includes some
- premise tooling (teamcity, octopus).
Responsibilities
- Be a principal for platform Engineering Dev
Ops workstreams, policies, best practices, and technologies. - Enabling and implementing the delivery of Infrastructure as Code that is well governed, optimised, supportable and sustainable.
- Working with delivery teams and other platform team members to resolve bottlenecks, incidents and blockers both operationally and strategically
- Take part in the platform Engineering team
- call rota - Administer the ADO Environment, and other platform tooling portals
- Leading and managing incident response activities, including immediate mitigation, and communicating effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations.
- Mentor team members and lead
- functional collaboration to support business and engineering objectives - Create, improve, and maintain infrastructure deployment pipelines written in Terraform & Power
Shell. - Create guides and documentation to operate and maintain the infrastructure platform.
- Security monitoring and incident response for
- native applications

Core Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a Dev
Ops engineer working on automation tasks and automated testing. - Able to design, implement and support CI/CD activities using Azure Devops, teamcity or octopus
- Strong understanding of
-
- code principles and excellent working knowledge of scripting infrastructure and automation capabilities using tooling such as Terraform, Power
Shell, Azure CLI. - Experience with configuration and administration of CDN and WAF technologies such as Akamai for optimizing and securing web content delivery.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share technical knowledge and influence decision making, including the ability to mentor and upskill other team members
- Good understanding of Azure security controls, capabilities, and best practices.
- Proficiency in understanding, designing and managing network configurations that support scenarios involving Azure, Kubernetes, Akamai WAF and CDN, and
- premise connectivity to tools such as Team
City and Octopus - Experience in engineering and automation of container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge in setup and supporting Kubernetes environments using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using tools like HELM including deploying, managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production
- Experience in working with or supporting static and dynamic application security testing tooling in the context of CI/CD and secure software delivery
- Able to methodically diagnose issues through logical reasoning and systematic testing. This includes being able to find the source of a problem quickly by isolating different components of the system
- Exposure to Azure cloud services such as Azure API Management, Azure Functions, App Services, Redis Caches, blob storage, Signal
R. - Experience with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) in cloud first environment.
