Accountant - R2A Specialist Reconciliation
Job Description
This role will primarily be responsible for maintaining account reconciliations which includes preparation and analysis of assigned accounts - primarily related to Indirect Taxes.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform moderately complex balance sheet reconciliation activities, focusing on Indirect Tax Accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and review of the assigned account reconciliations.
- Timely and accurate reporting of reconciling items for correction and adjustments with Tax Returns.
- Ensure reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures and regulations.
- Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the manager or stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Document and the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
- Contribute in various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
- Assist in
- related activities. - Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Manager.
- Document reconciliations using specific tools as Blackline.
- Implement and use workflows to enhance process efficiency and drive faster execution
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent relevant courses
- 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
- CPA is an advantage, but is not required
- Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
- Experience working with ERP, e. i. , Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools
- Familiarity/ exposure to Indirect Taxes
