
Accountant
We are recruiting an Accountant for one of our clients, a company operating in various sectors, including construction and energy, for a fixed-term period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Recording purchase, sales, and petty cash (Petty Cash Reports/Forms) invoices in the system;
- Forwarding incoming purchase invoices to the relevant departments and following up on approval processes;
- Controlling transactions entered in SAP against SmartBill records (training on SAP and SmartBill will be provided by the employer);
- Reviewing monthly general ledger and trial balance reports;
- Checking VAT, rental, and income tax returns;
- Performing account reconciliations with suppliers, clients, and subcontractors;
- Preparing and submitting documentation required during the audit process;
- Communicating with banks, the tax authority (ANAF), and other financial institutions;
- Monitoring and recording construction site expenses (fuel, equipment, labor, etc. ) ;
- Accounting and processing subcontractor statements and payments;
- Preparing construction project cost reports (materials, labor, overheads);
- Tracking project-based income and expenses, and preparing profitability analyses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance;
- 3-4 years experience in accounting;
- Advanced level of English proficiency;
- Proficient in MS Office applications; knowledge of SAP and SmartBill is considered an advantage;
- Knowledge of the Romanian accounting system;
- Proficient in tax legislation and tax return processes;
- Familiarity with electronic invoicing (e-Invoice)
- Career-oriented in accounting and finance;
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with other departments.
