We are currently seeking an Azure AKS Dev
Ops Engineer to join our global Cloud team from anywhere in Romania (RO).

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Engineer to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications at scale using Dev
Ops practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Dev
Ops, with a strong focus on automation, security, networking, and scalability in an Azure environment. This role involves managing AKS clusters, implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure Dev
Ops, and ensuring highly available, secure, and
- efficient containerized workloads.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage AKS clusters in a production environment.

• Implement Azure Dev
Ops CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management of AKS resources, including infrastructure as code (Ia
C) using Terraform (ideally), Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Develop and deploy Docker containers and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes.

• Configure and manage Kubernetes networking, including API Gateway, ingress controllers, Azure Load Balancers, VNETs, and service meshes (Istio, Linkerd, or Cilium).

• Manage Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.

• Secure AKS clusters using RBAC, IAM roles, Azure AD integration, pod security policies, and network policies.

• Automate cluster scaling using Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA), and Cluster Autoscaler.

• Monitor and troubleshoot AKS workloads using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, Loki, or ELK stack.

• Optimize AKS cost, performance, and storage (Azure Files, Azure Disks, Blob Storage).

• Implement Azure Dev
Ops pipelines for AKS resource management using Flux
CD or Argo
CD.

• Lead and mentor technical teams, providing best practices for Kubernetes deployments and Azure cloud adoption.

Basic Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) deployment, scaling, and management.

• Strong expertise in Azure Dev
Ops (ADO) for building, testing, and deploying Kubernetes applications and resources.

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes based containerized application development.

• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including private endpoints, NAT gateways, and service endpoints.

• Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes application packaging and management.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) using Terraform.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments using Azure Dev
Ops

• Security expertise in AKS, including RBAC, IAM roles, pod security policies, Azure AD integration, and network security.

• Proficiency in AKS monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Fluentd.

• Experience with Git
Ops tools like Argo
CD or Flux
CD for managing Kubernetes workloads.

• Strong understanding of Linux platform.

• Strong ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with technical teams on best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)

• CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)

• CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Dev
Ops Engineer Expert

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

This position is remote and the working hours are 12:00-21:00.
