- site availability) Contract type: Permanent About the role: We’re looking for a Chief Accountant to lead statutory and financial reporting for a multinational engineering and manufacturing organization. This is a
- impact role offering exposure to both local and international operations, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, financial control, and team leadership. You’ll collaborate with internal and external auditors, as well as with national regulatory bodies. You’ll also be the
- to expert for statutory reports under US GAAP, while overseeing a team and helping drive continuous process improvement and automation.

Key responsibilities

Oversee statutory accounting activities aligned with US GAAP.

Prepare and validate core financial documents (P&L, balance sheets, consolidated statements).

Coordinate audits and maintain compliance with ANAF,
- fraud authorities, and other institutions.

Lead and evaluate a local accounting team.

Ensure accurate and lawful financial recordkeeping.

Analyze financial trends and provide insights for risk management and business improvement.

Implement and monitor internal control frameworks.

Drive automation efforts and support ERP transitions (Oracle/SAP).

What you will bring:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.

3+ years in a similar Chief Accountant or senior finance role.

Experience in a multinational company.

Familiarity with fiscal compliance (VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing).

Strong Excel and ERP (SAP or Oracle) knowledge.

Advanced English;

CIMA/ACCA is a strong plus.

Bonus skills:

Passion for digitization & digitalization and ERP transitions.

Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
