Job Overview:

The Chief Accountant is responsible for leading and overseeing the companys
- accounting activities, ensuring compliance with Romanian accounting regulations and international standards. The role involves preparing and validating financial statements and tax returns, monitoring the accuracy of all accounting records, and coordinating the
- end and
- end closing processes. The Chief Accountant manages relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and banks, and provides financial expertise to support strategic business decisions. Additionally, the role includes supervising and developing the accounting team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and professional growth across all financial operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

- University degree in Economics, with at least 5-7 years of experience in accounting, out of which at least 2-3 years in a leadership position.

- CECCAR membership mandatory.

- Strong experience with SAP and MS Excel.

- Solid knowledge of taxation and local & international accounting regulations.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.

- Strong analytical and
- making abilities.

- Proactive and
- oriented attitude.

- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Job Description:

- Coordinate and supervise the entire
- accounting department.

- Ensure proper organization and management of accounting in accordance with Romanian legislation and applicable international standards.

- Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Review and approve tax returns (D100, D300, D390, D394, AFM, BNR, INS, etc. ).

- Monitor the accuracy of accounting records and compliance with reporting deadlines.

- Manage relations with tax authorities, internal and external auditors, banks, and other institutions.

- Oversee the
- end closing process and provide reports to company management.

- Provide expertise and support in strategic
- making regarding financial and tax matters.

- Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring training and professional support.
