Role Purpose
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the IT strategy, operations, and transformation agenda for the Securitas Technology Division across Europe. This senior leadership role is accountable for enabling business growth, modernising core systems, driving operational efficiency, and strengthening cybersecurity and compliance. The remit spans European infrastructure, enterprise applications,
- specific platforms, SOC IT, and M&A integration, with both strategic and operational responsibilities. The CIO will act as a strategic business partner, driving transformation and influencing priorities across a complex, matrixed environment.
IT Pillar Framework
The Technology Division CIO will support the business across five key IT pillars, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and value delivery across all areas of IT responsibility:
Core IT– Encompasses End User Services and Infrastructure, primarily delivered by Global IT (GITS) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) under defined SLAs and cost chargeback models, within the European region.
Enterprise Information Services – Includes
- wide systems such as HRIS, Finance/ERP, and other
- business platforms. Delivery may vary by geography through divisional or country IT teams.
Technology-Specific Applications – Covers applications used specifically within the Technology Division, including Field Service & Project Scheduling (“Tech Platform”), CPQ, Product Design & Development, and Manufacturing systems, focused on European operations.
SOC IT – Focused on harmonisation, modernisation, and architectural alignment of SOC-related IT platforms, driving efficiency and standardisation across European SOC operations.
M&A and Transformation – Encompasses IT due diligence, integration planning, and
- deal closure transformation to ensure seamless business continuity and value realisation in the European context. Project Aurora, ERP Implementations and broader IT transformation are top priorities, including separation of shared systems and building new teams in key European countries.
Scope of Responsibility
Leadership & Culture
Serve as the IT leader for the Technology Division in Europe, reporting to the Division President (solid line) and Technology Global CIO (dotted line).
- Lead divisional and country IT teams across Europe, fostering a “One Securitas” culture of professionalism, accountability, and innovation.
- Develop IT talent and build technical competencies across the European organisation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, steering committees, and executives to align IT with business priorities in Europe.
- Navigate and influence within a matrix environment, collaborating across business units and IT organisations.
Core IT & Enterprise Systems
- Oversee delivery of End User Services and Infrastructure, managed by Global IT (GITS) and MSPs under defined SLAs and cost chargeback models, within Europe.
- Provide Technology Division insight and requirements into enterprise platforms (HRIS, ERP, Finance, and other
- business systems), whether delivered by divisional or country IT in Europe. - Ensure alignment and interoperability between divisional systems and Group IT standards in the European context.
Technology-Specific Applications
- Own and oversee critical Technology Division applications for Europe, including:
- Field Service & Project Delivery platforms (“Tech Platform”)
- Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ)
- Product Design & Development systems
- Power
BI and other Reporting Applications - Third party integration platforms
SOC IT
- Lead harmonisation, modernisation, and architectural standardisation of IT platforms supporting SOCs.
- Collaborate with SOC Centres of Excellence and Services to standardise operations, align to global KPIs, and drive efficiency.
- Define and support Technology specific services and systems supported by the European SOCs to ensure efficient delivery of Technology services to our clients.
- Contribute to the roadmap for a Global SOC (GSOC) platform supporting multinational client needs.
M&A and Transformation
- Act as IT lead for Technology Division M&A activity in Europe, including due diligence and
- deal closure integration/separation activities.
- Govern IT projects to ensure value realisation after
- live, with clear alignment to business outcomes in Europe.
- Align divisional IT strategy and roadmap with both Technology Global IT and Group IT, with a focus on European priorities.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage the Technology Division IT budget and financial chargeback models.
- Own divisional IT vendor relationships and AMS contracts, ensuring cost efficiency and service quality.
- Drive commercial accountability across IT initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven track record as a senior IT leader (CIO, Divisional CIO, or equivalent) in matrixed organisations, ideally with European scope.
- Deep experience across IT domains: infrastructure, enterprise systems, and
- specific applications. - Strong capability in vendor management, outsourcing, and AMS contracts.
- Demonstrated success in IT transformation, modernisation, and digital initiatives.
- Commercially astute with experience managing large budgets and cost optimisation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at C-suite level.
- Ability to lead multicultural, dispersed teams while driving cultural alignment.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks, IT architecture standards, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Experience operating as a business advisor with
- facing presence. - Ability to operate in a matrix environment is essential.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in progressive IT leadership roles, including divisional or European responsibility.
- Background in technology services, security, or
- led industries desirable. - Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001) critical.
- Experience in M&A actions strongly critical.
- Certifications in IT governance, architecture, or project management (e. g. , ITIL, TOGAF, PMP) advantageous.
- Experience with cybersecurity and AI desirable
Success Metrics / What Good Looks Like in First 12–18 Months
- Establish strong business partnerships with Technology Europe Division, Region and Country leaders
- First tranche of IT Transformation delivered (e. g. , migration, consolidation) onto the new Aurora platform.
- Measurable increase in IT maturity / governance / process discipline in Europe.
- Established strong IT leadership and organisational culture with the Technology European teams and engagement with Group and Services IT organizations.
- Transforming current IT teams to become the trusted advisors to the business with extended technical capabilities in key European countries.
Location / Travel / Working Conditions
- Primary base: Europe – UK, Sweden, France, Germany
- Expected travel: 35%
- Language: Fluency in English required
