Cloud Engineer
Position Description:
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in developing a robust cloud platform for our customer. This AWS-based platform serves as the unified infrastructure for over developers, enabling them to build and operate applications in an environment that prioritizes security, high availability, and compliance.
In this role, you will support these developer teams, ensuring they can maximize platform features and comply with enterprise standards Also, you will help to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of this platform by refining and enhancing our monitoring solutions. In addition, you will innovate and advise by creating new concepts to
- actively improve the platform continuously.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop, operate, and enhance our AWS-based cloud platform, leveraging EC2, Lambda, and Kubernetes.
• Design, implement, and optimize monitoring systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Instana, and Open
Search.
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance, utilizing AWS VPC for network segmentation and access control.
• Develop alerting and visualization dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Provide technical support and architectural guidance to teams leveraging the platform.
• Automate system health monitoring, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis for rapid issue resolution.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Git
Hub Actions for secure and efficient deployments.
• Maintain and update platform components, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
• Support compliance and security monitoring, maintaining data visibility and integrity.
• Scale and maintain monitoring tools to support a dynamic,
- tenant environment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including VPC, EC2, Lambda, and Kubernetes, with a strong focus on security and compliance.
• 4 years experience in a similar role.
• Expertise in
- native monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Instana, and Open
Search.
• Deep understanding of production readiness standards and the ability to implement and enforce them across teams.
• Strong background in incident response and troubleshooting within distributed environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, supporting and guiding independent development teams.
• Proficiency in Git
Hub Actions, with experience developing and managing CI/CD workflows.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Ia
C) using Terraform, automating and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in maintaining and updating cloud platform components to ensure security and efficiency.
• Ability to consult with developers, promoting best practices for cloud operations and security.
