About the team

Billing and Funding within FIS has built a pricing and billing engine using
- data tech, we are almost at the end of the first phase of an exciting journey
- engineering our core payments platform to be more cost effective, scalable and cloud ready. The next phase of our journey is a move to the cloud, making our software cloud native, our infrastructure code and using CI/CD to increase our speed of delivery.

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for implementing and expanding the Cloud estate within the programme with a focus on compute, networking, storage, observability, reliability and security.

You will be responsible for building, implementing and maintaining, infrastructure as code and tooling with the Cloud

You will create cloud environments and data strategy ensuring interaction with on premise (where applicable), data replication and create CI/CD for faster delivery

You will strive to make our cloud offering as self service as possible, empowering the engineering community to own their infrastructure and software

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and policy of the internal FIS security teams.

You will need to work closely with our software engineers bringing them on the cloud journey with a guiding hand

What you bring:

Solid
- on experience with the following Amazon Web Services and specifically the following AWS technologies: VPC, EC2, ELB, Auto-Scaling (including Groups), S3, RDS, Cloud
Watch, Route53, Lambda, Fargate, ECS, EKS, Cloud
Formation, SQS, MSK, Dynamo
DB, IAM.

Strong understanding around CI/CD practices, principles and fundamentals. i. e. Infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or Cloud
Formation.

Hands-on experience of creating environments and datasets to enable CI/CD and ensure of functional and
- functional code test coverage

Solid experience with Jenkins CI/CD and the utilisation of shared libraries to build pipelines as code.

Solid experience writing code in Python, and utilising Python within the AWS space, ie the boto3 library.

Good
- on experience on operating systems like Linux (Red Hat, Cent
OS, Ubuntu, etc).

Excellent communication skills and a desire to impart knowledge
