Community Manager (m/f/d) for European Raw Materials Academy
Location: 100% Remote work available across Europe

Position Overview: The Raw Materials Academy Initiative
The Raw Materials Academy Initiative is a flagship programme of EIT Raw
Materials, designed to deliver
- impact,
- responsive training across Europe. It connects industry, professionals, SMEs with certified training providers and VET institutions to bridge skills gaps in raw materials.
We are building a
- scale network of training providers and subject matter experts to deliver custom and professional courses at scale. To drive this, we are hiring a Community Manager (m/f/d) to lead network development, coordination, and quality assurance activities – with a focus on Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The Role
As the Community Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for cultivating, scaling, and managing a
- European network of certified training providers, particularly within the VET ecosystem. Your work will ensure that the Academy delivers timely,
- quality, and
- aligned education through a growing network of learning partners.
You will play a critical role in onboarding providers, enabling delivery, and supporting the
- term sustainability of the initiative. Your efforts will directly support the Academy’s commercialization goals and strategic alignment with industry needs.
Key Responsibilities
Community Leadership and Strategy
- Design and implement the community engagement and certification strategy across Europe’s VET ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain relationships with VET providers, regional institutions, and local training partners.
- Ensure all training partners meet quality, content, and delivery standards.
Operational Management
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and
- building activities for certified training providers.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts and external providers to ensure full geographic and thematic coverage.
- Manage associated risks related to partner performance and delivery consistency.
Platform & Ecosystem Coordination
- Act as the central liaison between training providers, the platform team, and other internal units.
- Coordinate closely with the Commercialization Manager to align partner delivery with the Academy’s revenue model.
- Support the platform integration of new partners and ensure smooth learner journeys.
Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Track KPIs and monitor partner performance across the Academy's offerings.
- Provide input into strategic reporting, evaluation, and quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to the Academy’s roadmap, including content planning and network scaling.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the Academy in relevant stakeholder meetings, summits, and events across Europe.
- Ensure community input informs the platform roadmap and course development pipeline.
Requirements
Experience
- Proven experience managing networks or communities within the education, skills, or innovation sectors.
- Strong familiarity with the VET landscape in Europe, including national/regional training providers, certification processes, and labor market alignment.
- Experience coordinating delivery with external contributors, including SMEs and learning organizations.
Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, onboarding, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in managing operational delivery of educational programs at scale.
- Experience with digital tools and platforms for education delivery or network management.
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) or demonstrated equivalent experience is a plus.
