Compliance Specialist (f/m/d)
Your responsibilities:
- The main responsibility of our Compliance Specialist (f/m/d) is to fully review the products sold within the company from a chemical safety point of view and to comply with and implement the requirements for handling goods
- In connection with the products sold, you verify compliance with laws, regulations, standards and other relevant international (mainly EU) and domestic requirements of partners for which you continuously monitor such, prepare related educational materials for internal use, raise internal awareness and conduct trainings for employees and managers
- You manage the Integrated Management System (ISO9001-14001- 45001-19011) and maintain our ISO system which includes preparing, reviewing, renewing and managing internal as well as external documentation, managing internal as well as external audits for our ISO system certification, quality assurance (ISO, Responsible Care, etc. ) involving all relevant employees
- Additionally, you fulfill the tasks of the Dangerous Goods Safety Consultant (ADR), ensuring the reporting of hazardous mixtures (PCN), verification of documentation, request for rectification and analysis of relevant regulations using a compliance tool
- You fulfill our company's environmental obligations including waste management tasks such as waste reporting, disposal of waste generated in warehouses and sample depots
- Furthermore, you ensure compliance with periodic reporting obligations to competent national and international authorities (AFM, CBAM, precursors, biocidal products, product tax, etc. )
- You complete customer questionnaires regarding product quality and compliance with standards, record and manage customer as well as supplier complaints by forwarding them to the responsible colleague and closing them jointly as well as issuing them upon request (REACH, Ro
SH, etc. ) - In addition, you develop, implement and monitor an effective compliance program including best practice recommendations based on your trend analysis and internal assessments (including but not limited to Anti-Trust, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Cyber Security, Due Diligence (DD), Health & Safety, Know Your Customer (KYC), Procurement, Risk Assessment, Colleague Training, Whistleblowing)
Your profile:
- You successfully finishing your university degree with a focus on Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Compliance, Law or a related field
- Thereafter, you gained a minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role, preferred in industrial or production companies
- Thereby, you gained good knowledge of legal requirements and controls (including but not limited to AML, DD, KYC)
- Your great stakeholder and project management skills enable you to meet deadlines while winning support as well as building momentum across teams and leadership alike
- Your good communication and teamwork skills convince us
- Additionally, you are fluent in Romanian and English (spoken and written)
- You are willing to occasionally travel in Central and Eastern Europe for strategic or other relevant meetings
