About the job

The Accountant will be responsible for a significant part accounting and finance activities, timely and accurate preparation of reports, analysis and reconciliations of our Romanian entities meeting the group requirements. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and tax or statistical reporting. This role will be partnering with various finance and functional teams within the Group. .

Your essential responsibilities

• Performs general accounting on day-to-day basis (booking journal entries, accruals, etc)
• Managing billing to external customers and intercompany
• Managing cash collection and dunning process with customers
• Payroll related accounting and reconciliations
• Ownership of fixed assets and inventory related accounting processes
• Support timely, and accurate preparation of activities required for Group month-end closing
• Preparation and submission of tax returns and statistical reports (VAT, CIT, and other obligatory filings, National Bank reports) under local requirements
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Business partnering with local operational teams and leadership
• Support preparation of statutory financial statements according to local accounting rules
• Involvement in local statutory and tax audits

Your background And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Proficiency in accounting softwares
• Fluent in English and Romanian languages
