The Role

As a member of the Contracts Analyst Group, this position acts as a Business Partner serving our customers, both internal and external. Our services are focused on the support of the sales cycle through the creation of customer agreements in accordance with established Aspen Technology policies and procedures. These agreements will be produced in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and consistency with the Aspen Technology business objectives. This process relies heavily on collaboration with key stakeholders in Sales, Legal, Credit, Finance, and Customer Service. As a Contract Analyst, the expectation is that this role will handle more complex customer contracts after sufficient training. Please note that this is not a paralegal position.

Your Impact

Collaborate with Stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the deal structure, from conception to close.

Develop and maintain product knowledge to assist in contract development.

Draft software license contracts using either the Conga Contracts application within Salesforce or standard Word contract templates.

Verify that source documents/applications used to draft the quote have identical information and that the draft document accurately captures information from source documents/applications.

Notify Sales when information needed to draft the contract is missing or unclear.

Assist contract approvers with queries that arise as they are in the process of reviewing.

Provide updates on the status of contract drafts, as needed, to stakeholders.

Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained and documented prior to release of an “executable” document to the Sales Team.

Meet established metrics for response time and accuracy of contracts drafted.

Participate in initiatives targeting improvement of policies and procedures.

Proactively monitor the workload queue to ensure all activities are assigned and/or addressed.

What You'll Need

Bachelor’s Degree preferred with focus in Business, Finance, or Legal Studies.

Experienced in working in a team environment and possessing a
- focused approach to completing work assignments.

Strong knowledge and experience in using MS Office tools, mainly Word and Outlook (basic knowledge of Excel helpful).

Familiarity with Salesforce application and Oracle or similar ERP system preferred.

Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work beyond standard business hours and under tight deadlines, particularly at end of each quarter.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.

Ability to work well with limited supervision.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
