We are seeking a highly organized and
- on Data Center Management Engineer to lead and support
-
- day operations, deployments, and infrastructure planning across our global data centers.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in IP networking, telecom equipment, structured cabling, and infrastructure planning—including power, cooling, and rack space optimization.
Build and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (Bo
M) for all data center builds and upgrades.
Oversee and perform hardware installations, decommissions, and relocations, ensuring optimal placement and cabling.
Work closely with the IP engineering team to plan and implement L1/L2/L3 connectivity and troubleshoot physical layer issues.
Ensure data center power and cooling capacity planning, following best practices for equipment density and thermal management.
Coordinate with logistics for packing, shipping, and receiving of hardware between global sites.
Manage structured cabling documentation and ensure adherence to cabling standards (fiber/copper).
Maintain accurate asset inventory and support lifecycle management processes.
Collaborate with facility management for onsite access, safety protocols, and infrastructure readiness.
Ensure compliance with internal security and operational procedures for equipment handling.
This role requires periodic international travel to support onsite deployment, audits, and
- on hardware work.
Requirements: Passionate, innovative, enjoys exploration and continuous
- challenge, possesses strong analytical and
- solving skills, Proven experience in data center or telecom facility operations and infrastructure planning.
Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals, common hardware (switches, routers, firewalls), and service provider environments.
Hands-on experience with structured cabling (fiber, Cat6, patch panels, etc. ) and labeling standards.
Familiarity with telecom and server equipment (rackmount devices, PDUs, transceivers, etc. ).
Knowledge of DC power, AC power systems, UPS, and cooling standards (hot/cold aisle).
Experience with hardware logistics and handling, including packing, shipping, and RMA processes.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with
- functional teams globally.
Excellent documentation and planning skills using Excel, Visio, or DCIM tools.
Nice to have: Experience with DCIM tools (Device42, Netbox, or similar).
Understanding of cloud
- prem integration environments (hybrid networking).
Certifications in networking or data center design (e. g. , CCNA, JNCIA, DCD, DCE).
