The DB Engineer will be responsible for handling business requests, formalizing them technically, and monitoring project progress by following the changes performed by the RUN team.

He/She will also manage DB administration and incident during the handover period.

Responsibilities:

Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Design the database solutions tailored to business needs with the support of the architect

Manage and track incidents and tickets through internal tools.

Participate in the migration of the databases

Perform performance analysis of production systems.

Ensure systems comply with the group standards.

Perform all the test and validation

Database installations: install and configure or upgrade database and provide associated documentation

Issues analysis in the build phase

Provide authentication information to applicative integrator

Provide technical expertise, technology watch.

Automation of deployments / Dev
Ops technologies

Repeating tasks automation

Continuously improve and write procedures / reflex sheets for supervision and operation teams

Knowledge of ITIL processes and the Agile methodology

Required Skills:

Expertise in database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, My
SQL, Postgre
SQL).

Proficiency in query optimization and performance management.

Knowledge of database backup and restoration tools.

Strong understanding of Database architecture concepts.

Strong proficiency in ticket management systems.

Database: Oracle, Mongo
DB, SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, Elasticsearch.

Ability to estimate workload & detect platform needs

Issues analysis in the build phase

Provide technical expertise, technology watch.

Web oriented application installation and configuration: Apache, IIS, Nginx, Tomcat, Jboss, Weblogic, HAProxy, Certificate management

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in system management in a production environment.

Experience in managed services or service desk environments is a plus.

General knowledge on Linux OS, Windows and web application

ITIL concepts

Agile methodology

Virtualization knowledge: Docker, VMware …

Network contexts Knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalling, VLAN, VPN…)

Applications installations: install or upgrade applications and provide associated documentation

English fluent

Behavioural skill:

Ability to work with different departments on the projects assigned.

Proactive and
- motivated. Ability to independently look for solutions.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and flexible hours.

Advanced English knowledge, a conversational level in French would be appreciated.
