Deputy Chief Accountant

What you’ll be doing:

Ensure accurate monthly closing by reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing trial balances.

Perform monthly checks and reconciliations to validate accounting entries in compliance with legal and internal standards.

Prepare, review, and submit statutory reports and declarations (Intrastat, AFM, BNR, and others).

Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports to support management decisions.

Interpret and apply IFRS standards to accounting transactions and support profit tax calculations.

Assess tax treatment for transactions with
- residents, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and international standards.

Participate in transfer pricing documentation and collaborate with external consultants where needed.

Contribute to
- end financial closing and external audit processes.

Remain constantly updated on changes in accounting, tax, and financial reporting regulations.

What we’re looking for:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.

CECCAR certification – mandatory.

Solid knowledge of Romanian accounting and fiscal legislation, with a deep understanding of IFRS principles.

Proficiency in ERP systems and strong Excel skills.

Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

A proactive, collaborative attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
