About the Role

We are seeking a Dev
Ops Engineer with strong Postgre
SQL expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between application development, database administration, and infrastructure management. You will be responsible for automating database deployments, ensuring high availability and performance, and maintaining secure, scalable Postgre
SQL environments in cloud or
- premise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Postgre
  SQL database infrastructure in cloud and
  - prem environments.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune Postgre
  SQL databases for high performance and availability.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for critical database systems.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support continuous delivery and scalable architecture.
• Manage database migrations, schema changes, and version upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python) for routine database and infrastructure tasks.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for databases and supporting infrastructure (e. g. , Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Advocate for best practices in security, performance, and operational reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with Postgre
  SQL administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and scripting (Python, Bash, etc. ).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and
  - native database services.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud
  Formation).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Any Erlang knowledge would be highly appreciated.
