Retail media is hot, and we are building a
- edge platform to facilitate all the brands of Ahold in Europe with a complete retail media suite for media monetization. A high traffic environment, working as a SAAS solution, which will be used by approx. 15 different brands across Europe.
The
- tech cluster working on Gambit, has the responsibility for a flexible,
- efficient,
- end retail media suite with a wide spread of functionalities and a growing number of brands that will be using it. A
- up vibe is the best way to put it in words, we think.
A mature agile way of working (no frameworks) supports to excel as a developer and show your skills.
The team you will join is the offline media team. A revenue stream where advertisement spots in the stores are sold to advertisers and will be outed via printed media (stickers, wobblers, et. ).
Key responsibilities of your role.
- Join a scrum team and take ownership of a specific product like Sponsored Products, Digital out of home, Display within our suite
- Improve and develop new features, with a spread of brands using them in mind
- Feel connected with the product you work on and as team you own. It’s not only development, but as well responsible for a high performing and reliable product
- As a team think with the product owner and business, for new cool feature, ideas or new technologies to go faster
- Acknowledge and deal with the complexity to develop a SAAS-solution, to be used by several retailers
- Also as a developer responsible for automated
- 2-end tests, code quality - You consider the broader product suite, beyond the boundaries of your specific product area
- Proactively take initiative, drive

Requirements.
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer in Kotlin/Java.
- You have
- on experience in Kotlin/Java (11+), Microservices – understanding of Kafka, Postgres and API’s would be a big bonus. - A must in the skills for front end is Tyepscript and Next. js
- Experience in a Dev
Ops team with a good sense of operational tasks and understand the most important feature is a reliable and performing solution - You have a good understanding of CI/CD practices in a (MS Azure/AKS) Cloud environment.
- A person that is committed to the team, understands you are part of a bigger product and is not shy in looking over the fence of the team. Understands their job doesn't stop with creating software, but is keen on testing, test automation, observability.
- Big bonus if you have experience with retail media.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel to Holland on a regular (bi-monthly) bases
- You enjoy teamwork, like working in greenfield settings and make things happen.
- You’re tech savvy,
- active and have a big passion for tech.
