Role Overview
Reporting to the Global CEO – Europe & Africa and the Regional Manager – Eastern Europe, the General Manager – Romania will lead the national business operations and drive the company’s continued growth and transformation.
This is a replacement position for an expatriate role. The selected professional will be responsible for leading operational excellence, commercial expansion, and organizational development within Romania — while aligning the local business with global strategic objectives.
The company has a strong and established presence in Romania, known for its collaborative culture, impactful projects, and technical expertise. The new General Manager will be expected to build on this foundation and bring a renewed commercial and strategic drive.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the country’s business strategy, focusing on growth, efficiency, and innovation.
Drive commercial expansion and develop
- term partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
Oversee delivery of complex infrastructure and engineering projects, ensuring alignment with global standards and objectives.
Inspire and develop teams across multiple disciplines to deliver
- quality solutions.
Mentor senior leaders and strengthen the local management structure.
Promote sustainability, digital transformation, and safety excellence across operations.
Represent Romania within the regional and global leadership forums, contributing to strategic
- making.
Profile & Experience
Engineering degree (Civil, Transport, Aviation, or Construction) –.
Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in engineering, consulting, infrastructure, architecture, or EPC industries.
Proven success in leading and transforming organizations or large divisions, preferably with international exposure.
Strong operational, regulatory, and commercial understanding, with experience managing large projects and teams.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
Availability to start within a short timeframe and openness to reference checks upon request.
Mobility and flexibility to travel across the region as required.
