Head of Commercial Department / Head of Trade Department - Power & Gas 
Location: Bucharest, Romania
Reports to: Group Commercial Manager (Headquarters)

Project: 1, 700 MW Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant. Once commissioned, it will be among the largest and most efficient CCGT power plants in Eastern Europe, supporting decarbonization goals and sustainable energy production. 
Role Overview
The Head of Commercial Department will lead all commercial, contractual, and regulatory activities related to both the Power and Gas segments of the business. Reporting directly to the Group Commercial Manager, this role requires a strategic professional with
- depth expertise in energy markets, CO₂ certificates, power trading, and gas supply, as well as proven experience managing
- scale commercial operations in the energy sector. 
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the company’s commercial strategy across Power and Gas divisions.
- Manage contractual frameworks, including PPAs, gas supply contracts, trading agreements, and service contracts.
- Oversee CO₂ certificates management and ensure full compliance with EU and national regulations.
- Conduct market analysis, forecasting, and risk management to support strategic
 - making.
- Liaise closely with the Group Commercial team to ensure consistency and alignment with global policies.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies (ANRE, OPCOM, EU agencies) and energy stakeholders.
- Supervise commercial reporting, budgeting, and business performance tracking.
- Support business development initiatives, including trading, optimization, and new market opportunities.
- Education: Degree in Economics, Energy Engineering, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in commercial management within the Power & Gas sector, preferably in
 - cycle or
 - scale generation.
- Strong knowledge of energy markets, gas trading, and CO₂ certificate mechanisms.
- Proven skills in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and financial planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
