About the role
The HR Specialist will provide expert support across a range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role works closely with managers and employees to ensure HR policies and practices are implemented consistently, supporting a positive work environment and alignment with business objectives. This is a remote role, with occasional
- site visits as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Act as the main point of contact for employee and manager HR queries, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies. Manage employee relations cases including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance issues.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support

- end recruitment and prepare employment documentation. Oversee onboarding to ensure a smooth and positive new starter experience. - Performance & Development: Assist with performance management cycles and advise managers on development and improvement plans. Coordinate training needs analysis and learning initiatives.
- Payroll: Process accurate and timely payroll while maintaining

- date employee records. Ensure full compliance with tax, legal, and audit requirements. - Compensation & Benefits: Administer employee benefits and maintain accurate HR and compensation data. Support updates to employee records and related documentation.
- HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain HR systems, key employment processes, and required documentation. Ensure compliance with local employment laws and support reporting needs.
- HR Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to HR projects, including policy reviews, engagement activities, and D&I initiatives. Support HR reporting and data analysis to inform decisions.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in HR administration, HR operations, or generalist roles.
- Hands-on experience with Revisal, labour authority communication, and working with payroll providers or internal payroll teams.
- Strong understanding of Romanian Labour Code, GDPR, and employment documentation.
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems, Romanian benefits legislation, and solid MS Office skills.
- Fluency in Romanian and English is a must (written and spoken).

- management abilities. - Excellent communication skills, discretion in handling confidential information, and a proactive,
- focused approach. - Customer-oriented mindset when supporting employees and managers.
