Implementation Engineer

Locations: Bucharest | Hybrid

The Opportunity

The role of the Implementation Engineer is to configure SS&C applications to the requirements agreed with SS&C clients. In this role, you will work with
- facing delivery, programme, and project managers to understand the needs of clients and translate these into configuration work items. Get the opportunity to learn new applications as they are introduced by SS&C Digital!

What You Will Get To Do:

• Working with
  - facing delivery, programme and project managers, etc, to understand the needs of clients and turn these into configuration work items
• Using tools written by SS&C and, where necessary, changing files directly, implement the client's chosen configuration work items following agreed processes and procedures
• Verify that the software is working in accordance with the work items; i. e. check that the selected features appear and are working before handing off to other teams.
• When required, meet with clients to support delivery, programme and project managers, showing configured software and/or discussion configuration options
• Working with the Infrastructure and Software Engineering Team to implement the agreed client work items
• Reporting progress on each implementation project to agreed standards
• Working with the Implementation Team to define improvements to the team operating model, processes and procedures to improve project delivery times and reduce rework.
• Learning new applications as they are introduced by SS&C Digital, so that they can be configured to customer requirements.
• Working with Infrastructure, Engineering Teams & Management to devise/refine tooling for the configuration of SS&C applications

What You Will Bring:

• Essential: Effective verbal and written communication skills; clients & colleagues are global, and post holders will need to have an excellent command of business English
• Desirable: Ability to speak/read/write in other languages
• Essential: Can think logically to identify problems and resolve them
• Essential: Can implement changes accurately when working under pressure
• Essential: Basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, Java
  Script and/or a programming language such as Java, C #, PHP; skills do not need to have been gained in a commercial setting
• Desirable: Experience working in a
  - paced/pressured team environment; not necessarily in Information Technology
• Desirable: Experience working in Financial Services
