We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and
- oriented Legal Counsel with 4+ years of legal experience to join our dynamic global legal team. Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel based in London, the successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing and negotiating
- facing commercial contracts, supporting business objectives while managing legal and commercial risk. This position also presents a unique opportunity to develop competencies in legal technology and participate in the evolution of legal operations in an AI-enhanced environment. The ideal candidate will be a full qualified lawyer with 4+ years of legal experience at a recognised law firm. C1 or greater English proficiency is mandatory, as the role involves frequent interaction with international teams and stakeholders. This position is hybrid
- person/remote, with an
- office requirement of 40% of the month.
MAIN DUTIES
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on a high volume of commercial contracts, primarily for the UK but also covering all jurisdictions where Endava operates. This includes Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Data Privacy and Security Agreements. Ensure timely review and alignment with internal policies and contracting practices.
- Engage with internal stakeholders across multiple functions (e. g. Sales, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Security) throughout the contract lifecycle to align legal input with business objectives and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
- Provide guidance on contract risk, terms and negotiations to ensure the best possible outcome for the company.
- Collaborate with project teams to fully understand the products and/or services being provided and develop contract document templates.
- Establish positive and productive relationships with contract requestor(s), project teams, and senior leadership involved in contract process.
- Support the development, implementation, and refinement of contract management procedures, including initiatives related to contract automation, review workflows, and Legal AI tools.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Law degree from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Qualified Lawyer (avocat definitiv) with at least 4 years of experience at a recognized top law firm
- Language Proficiency: C1 or greater English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with contract management software or legal AI tools is a plus.
Key Competencies:
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and finalising commercial contracts, ideally including technology agreements, with practical understanding of contract terms and lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of legal issues related to global commercial contracts, including intellectual property, data privacy, and emerging technologies such as AI.
- Pragmatic, commercially minded approach to problem solving; able to assess legal and commercial risks to support business outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across legal and business functions and engaging with stakeholders internationally.
- Comfortable working in
- jurisdictional,
- functional teams and building productive relationships with technical and
- legal colleagues. - Proactive in managing workload and capable of taking ownership of projects, driving them through to completion independently with support and guidance available where needed.
- Quick to learn new areas of law, tools, or technology, with a demonstrated interest in AI innovations and projects.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing legal documents and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a
- paced,
- volume environment, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and clear communication.
