What you will be doing.

As a Marine Warranty Surveyor , you will be responsible for developing and planning a business to provide sufficient surveyor’s coverage in the geographic area of responsibility. Supporting the operations and offering guidance to Surveyors. Furthermore, you will need to be familiar with all aspects of ABL Marine Warranty services and key deliverables and will need to undertake your own chargeable time. In addition, you will:

Marine Surveyor.

Learn and familiarize yourself with all aspects of ABL Warranty Maritime services and key deliverables.

Attend marine warranty surveys onshore and offshore.

Assist in business development activities including promoting ABL Maritime and its services and maintaining its own billable utilization above 60%.

Assist in organising contract staff to conduct surveys on behalf of ABL.

Attend marine warranty surveys as towage approvals,
- outs and single voyages.

Be involved in the company's offshore projects.

Assist in marketing AB Marine and its services.

Maintain own level of billable utilisation above 60%.

And other duties as assigned.

The role will be based in Constanta. The candidate should have the right to live and work in Romania. Flexibility regarding working hours, willingness to travel and work within a variety of time zones – offshore travel , is a requirement of the job. Good reporting skills in English is mandatory: consistency, clarity, conciseness, grammar & spelling correctness will also be required.

In addition, you will also possess the following Qualifications, Work Experience, Technical and Behavioural skills:



Essential- 

Master Mariner (STCW class 1), Chief Engineer (STCW class 1) or equivalent with significant survey/marine
- related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 5 years of relevant experience within the maritime industry

Experience in marine consultancy including warranty, vessel and asset inspections, audits, surveys, damage surveys and project management is a significant advantage.

Fully conversant with marine and engineering consultancy to the offshore oil and gas markets is an advantage.

Have strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English.

Good
- making capability with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.  

Accurate reporting and the ability to deliver
- quality work on time.

- thinking with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image.  

Well-organized and
- directed individual with strong business/commercial skills.

Desirable -

Held command position on board.

Shore-based management experience.

Previous experience from a similar role.

Other applicable experience (salvage master, SCR, pilot etc)

Experience with marine surveying or consultancy.
