Description:

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Engineer with a solid grasp of MEAN/MERN stack technologies to join us in Cluj-Napoca, Romania at our EMEA Technology Hub. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative software solutions.

We will count on you to

Design and develop robust software solutions in line with Oliver Wyman's strategic direction;

Collaborate with a team of engineers, contributing to the mentoring of junior staff;

Uphold high standards of code quality and participate in the establishment of best practices;

Stay informed and share information about technological trends to enhance the team's capabilities.

What you need to have

Excellent communication both in English and Romanian 

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Portfolio of completed projects can be considered as the alternative to the formal education;

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on MERN/MEAN Stack technologies;

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Java
Script, Type
Script, Node. js, React, Express. js, Angular, SQL and No
SQL DB’s;

Experience with Git
Hub for version control and CI/CD;

Good understanding of system design, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle;

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide guidance to junior engineers;

Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders;

Capacity to take on supervisory responsibilities in project tasks and support team leads;

Good practical knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS preferred) and certification in this area would be a plus. ;

If no certification is present, achieving the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certificate in first months of work will be a requirement for success.
