Role:

MMC Tech seeks a talented Middleware Engineer to join our dedicated Systems Engineering team.

Working from our office location in Cluj-Napoca, we will give you the responsibility for the engineering and support aspects of application middleware components, overseeing the technical design, development and maintenance of application infrastructure components as well as maintaining engineering design standards and a stable application infrastructure environment.

Working collaboratively, with a variety of technical teams, you will be involved with Incident and Problem management, change management, Disaster Recovery planning and implementing, Provisioning of infrastructure and related services, and OS and application patching.

Help us implement monitoring solutions for applications and related infrastructure and analyse and project
- range capacity requirements.

We will look for you to identify opportunities for systems and tools enhancements and automation to aid operational efficiencies and also for middleware enhancements, performance tuning, server hardening, etc. , via automation to aid operational efficiencies.

We will rely on you to:

Provide
-
- day support for incidents and scheduled changes;

Ensure SLAs related to application availability and stability are met;

Document root cause analysis and make suitable recommendations for corrective action plans;

Participate in OS upgrades, application migrations and projects requiring infrastructure implementation and/or change;

Provide technical guidance as an infrastructure partner on projects, helping to define the infrastructure needs, outlining benefits and addressing issues as they arise;

Create and maintain technical documents such as knowledge base articles, infrastructure diagrams and FAQs;

Perform routine housekeeping and health check monitoring within both Red
Hat/Windows Servers and Application environments: (examples but not limited to) monitoring of application services, batch processes, backup jobs; archiving of logs, etc;

Respond to changes in Information Security posture to ensure critical patches/changes are applied to the systems and infrastructure within the area of control - carry out account revalidation exercises as required;

Assist with audit reviews, ensuring audit requirements and changes are dealt with, collaborating with various business and application teams as necessary;

Maintain audit compliance and reporting procedures.

What you need to have:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English;

Proven working experience with
- based technologies (IIS, Tomcat, HTTP Web Servers or similar on Windows (2012/2016/2019) and/or Linux (RH7. x, 8. x) host systems;

Working experience supporting a
- tiered web environment;

Good knowledge of cloud computing technologies and environments as well as containerization (Docker);

Good knowledge and understanding of network devices (such as F5 load balancers), firewalls, DNS, etc;

A good awareness of Microsoft. NET technology.

What makes you stand out:

Strong knowledge of Power
Shell scripting;

Demonstrable proficiency in patching procedures for OS, . NET, Java, etc;

Experience in at least one
- user ticket management system (e. g. Service
Now, etc. );

Exposure to Microsoft SQL server 2008/2012/2016/2019 and Oracle RAC is preferred.
