About the Role

We are looking for a strong Middle-level PHP Developer to contribute to both the legacy and the new platform. You’ll spend approximately 70% of your time on new development and 30% maintaining and improving existing systems. This is a great role for a developer looking to deepen their backend expertise and gradually grow into a
- level position.

Responsibilities

Develop new features using Laravel 12. 1, Postgre
SQL, and modular architecture (Pub/Sub)

Maintain and refactor legacy features using Laravel 8, PHP 7. 4, My
SQL

Address bug fixes and handle SLA-related support

Write and maintain unit/integration tests using PHPUnit or Pest

Perform code reviews and write clean, maintainable code

Collaborate with the team on feature design and technical planning

Optimize system performance in
- load areas

Requirements

4+ years of
- on experience with PHP

Strong experience with Laravel 10+ or 12

Solid understanding of Postgre
SQL and My
SQL

Experience with Redis and background jobs (Horizon or similar)

Familiarity with writing and maintaining tests (PHPUnit, Pest)

Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (e. g. , GCP, AWS)

Good communication skills in English and Russian

Strong sense of ownership and

Nice to Have

Experience working in

Exposure to Stripe, Paddle, or similar payment integrations

Background with Symfony, pure PHP, or Node. js

Understanding of modular architectures (e. g. ,
- store design)

Familiarity with e

Awareness of performance metrics such as p95/p99

Basic knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and architectural patterns
