Principal Embedded System Architect, Software Defined Vehicle

Analog Devices is looking for an Embedded System Architect for the Software Defined Vehicle to drive the definition of the next generation software for
- car data connectivity technologies. This role you will collaborate with
- functional internal teams and OEMs/Tier-1s to define, architect, and deliver SDV-ready features across various protocols, stacks, and platforms.

Requirements:

experience in the automotive space, ideally in an architect/tech lead role at a company doing automotive product development

experience with
- car connectivity technologies (gmsl,
- link, e2b, a2b, can, ethernet)

in-depth knowledge of SDV SW and System architectures and technology/market trends

deep understanding of SW stacks and compute architectures

self-driven, great communication skills, capable of interfacing with customers and engineers at different levels of detail

strategic and forward thinking, capable of defining SW roadmaps

Scope:

interface with the ACE BU and the Field to gather software and system level requirements

define SDV SW and System architecture concepts, validate and refine them with the BU / field / customers

work with the engineering teams in SDP & BU to implement the defined SW and System solutions

stay connected with the latest trends in the industry

provide support to the Filed and BUs for customer engagements

create SW marketing collateral

Responsibilities include:

Architect, create and maintain Linux, Zephyr, and
- metal device drivers and software projects for embedded systems, processors, and
- based platforms

Develop robotics related applications for AMRs and humanoids using industry standard frameworks such as ROS2

Integrate AI models into data processing and control flows on various
- performance compute platforms such as GPUs and heterogeneous So
Cs

Provide customer support directly or through the ADI Engineer Zone forum

Essential Skills and Competencies:

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE) or Computer Science (CS) with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the design, implementation, and support of embedded software

Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software development languages, including but not limited to C, C++, Python, and shell scripting.

Experience with frameworks and tools such as ROS2, CUDA, Tensor
Flow, ONNX

Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS systems

Experience with SCM (svn, git), cross compiler and
- circuit debugging tools

Excellent software design, problem solving and analytical debugging skills

Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems

Ability to comprehend large and complex technical documentation.
