Are you passionate about making a real difference in the fight against child trafficking? World Vision is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Director to lead a strategic
- trafficking initiative in Romania. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impactful change by strengthening collaboration among government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders to protect vulnerable children.

About the Role:

As Project Director, you will oversee all aspects of project implementation, coordinate with diverse partners, and ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards.

The role is based in Bucharest.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage project activities to ensure timely,
- quality outcomes

Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders

Ensure compliance with Romanian legislation, European standards, and international conventions

Oversee budget planning, monitoring, and reporting

Travel domestically and internationally up to 5% when required

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in child protection, human trafficking, public administration, or related field

Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience, preferably in government grants or child protection

Strong understanding of the European legislative framework for
- trafficking

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Romanian is preferred
