As a Project Proposal Engineer with German in Cluj-Napoca , you will be responsible for
-
- end delivery of Technical & Commercial Project Proposals to our customers in Europe across various process industries (such as Life Sciences, Chemical, Energy, Power and Renewables) within Emerson’s projects business portfolio and support Emerson sales teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities. This role requires the proposal delivery management of a broad variety of projects ranging from
- size to large and/or complex ones, assuming ownership of the
- scope, or
- scope, when working under leadership of Proposal Lead / Manager, including sales & operations collaborators’ coordination and direct customer contact, with the focus on winning more orders for the company. As a key point of contact, you will build and maintain strong relationships with Sales Account Managers and Operations teams across Europe.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Ensuring understanding, handling and satisfying each requirement or expectation from customers or company’s collaborators through remote communication or site visits;

Taking ownership of the delivery of the assigned technical and commercial project proposals scope of large size or complex project proposals led by Proposal Manager or Lead for our business portfolio; for independent delivery of project proposals, acting as Solution Architect applying technical expertise for the concept design development of Emerson solution, fulfilling customers’ requirements;

Ensuring the innovative and
- effective solutions are proposed; proactively apply methodologies, resources and techniques for minimizing the proposal preparation effort, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality; ensure partners are proactively informed on the status or any challenges;

Acquiring, maintain, and actively share knowledge and experience with the team and the more comprehensive organization; support

- job development of other Project Proposal Engineers;

Taking other responsibilities or tasks, including those related to Ethics and Information Security policies within the skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. The business reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments in line with business requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering field;

Proficiency in English and German (written and verbal)

Understanding of process automation, DCS (Distributed Control System) and/or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, computer infrastructure and network architecture;

Computer literate (MS Office).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience in commercial and sales support activities;

Experience in process automation field for various industries;

Project management / coordination skills.
