Public Affairs Manager
Location : Bucharest, Romania
Reporting to: Corporate Affairs Director ROMOBU
What this position is about:
The Public Affairs Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing the strategy to combat illegal cigarette trade, with extensive responsibilities in corporate affairs management. Reporting directly to the Corporate Affairs Director, the position aims to maintain and develop relationships with law enforcement and tax authorities and oversee public awareness campaigns and specific projects.
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in economics, law, or marketing.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the tobacco industry or other highly regulated industries.
Knowledge of industry legislation, including the tax system and trademark protection.
Experience in lobbying and advocacy,
- building skills.
Project coordination experience and understanding of partners.
Advanced English and Romanian language skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
Coordinates the implementation of the strategy against illegal cigarette trade and maintains relationships with law enforcement authorities.
Establish partnerships with law enforcement to enhance information exchange and effectiveness in addressing illegal cigarette trade issues.
Actively collaborates with authorities in concrete actions to combat tobacco smuggling.
Develop and implement public awareness campaigns regarding the risks of the illegal cigarette trade.
Monitors and supplies to improve the regulatory framework against cigarette smuggling.
Supervises the communication process with authorities regarding the analysis conducted by the laboratory.
Coordinates the national implementation of European provisions on tobacco product traceability.
Collaborates with national authorities in implementing excise and environmental strategies.

Shown experience in collaborating with local and central authorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
