SAP Basis Team Lead
Your new role and environment.
The goal of this function is to manage the SAP Basis team from organizational point of view and to
- ordinate with all the teams the requirements, confirm the planning, contribute to all topic’s where Basis area is important.
You will play a leadership role on Basis type projects, in supporting all projects and releases where Basis team contribution is required. The function consists as well of participating in strategic management meetings to help for short/mid/long-term decisions related to the Ahold Delhaize Global roadmap. Making sure the Ahold Delhaize security and procedures are adapted and respected by the Basis team is a key function of this role.
Key responsibilities of your role.
- Make sure all existing SAP systems are supported and by proactive planned actions it is ensured a minimum of
- planned downtime. - Responsible for planning the system upgrades and patches required to keep all SAP systems stable and performant.
- Keep the team informed and motivated.
- Liaise with the other COE leads on preparing and planning the SAP Basis team support for the Ahold Delhaize projects and initiatives.
- Prepare budget forecast, follow up costs and report in time any risks related to budget discrepancy
- Collaborates with the Ahold Delhaize Business partners, SAP Functional Specialists, Solution/Enterprise architects, and application architects to ensure alignment with the systems scale up, systems
- up to meet business process requirements. - SAP Basis project management, planning, budgeting and follow up of the successful implementations within budget.
- Make sure the team follows the Change management and Life cycle management policies and procedures of Ahold Delhaize.
- Close
- ordination and follow up the activities in scope of the AMS Basis team. - External partners management and collaboration with third parties involved in Ahold Delhaize environment/projects. Ensure the team is aware of the latest security norms of Ahold Delhaize and actions are taken to be compliant with the security aspect.
- Continuous follow up of the systems health (EWA),
- active planning of systems improvement and regular reporting of systems state to respective management.

Requirements.
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:
- SAP Basis experience with a minimum of 6+ hands on experience in various SAP systems like ECC, BW, BW4, F&R, CAR, SOLMAN, HR, SAP PO, SAP Hana, MDG, BPC, ECP.
- Team lead experience, preferably in technical area, project management experience, good communication and reporting skills towards top management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, training and team leading skills and the ability to work effectively with the COE teams and infra teams. Capable of providing leadership, motivating team members, good negotiation skills.
- Ability to conduct research and recommend changes in an existing, changing, or emerging environment. Budget forecast management experience, cost follow up and control.
- Curious and eager to learn new technologies, be the driver for changes.
- Fast understanding of SAP landscape,
- active attitude. - Experience in IS-RETAIL SAP project is a major plus.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure (or other leading public cloud platform) is a plus.
- Familiar and used to work in a full remote environment.
- Managing external partners and
- party teams. - Project management experience is required.
- Performing well under stressful situations
