Our Bucharest office is looking for a new Sea Logistics Sales Representative to join our amazing Sea Logistics team.
Your Role Sea Logistics Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME customers. They have a thorough, up to date and
- depth understanding of the
- lane(s) in terms of the geography of the trade, and the service offerings, such as sailings, transit times, reliability, specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, as well as the type of industry/goods/commodity traded on the particular routes. They spend most of the time in
- facing activities, hunting for new business, and working hand in hand with the Customer Care Personnel (customer care tasks) on the same customers. Your Responsibilities - Foster and develop good relations with both existing and potential customers to ensure retention and growth;
- Identifying opportunities to increase the profitability by targeting new customers and/or increasing business with existing customers;
- Prepare and conduct customer visits, calls, presentations, quarterly business reviews, negotiations and contracts;
- Proactively look for and act on continuous improvement opportunities within Sea Logistics;
- Liaise with operations on pricing/RFQ preparation;
- Input and update of sales activities using CRM system;
- Ensure transitioning of customer to operations following customer requirements;
- Create a Sales Plan and accomplish that plan to success;
- Demonstrate expertise on all company products / service offerings and manage the sales of these offerings;
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products;
- Use all resources at your disposal to ensure success and appropriate customer service while complying with all regulatory requirements.
Your Skills and Experiences - To be considered, you should have at least 5 years of experience as sales person in freight forwarding with focus on sea logistics field, it's mandatory;
- You possess a positive attitude, strong influencing skills, and an eye for business opportunities;
- You will also demonstrate the ability to
- task and follow through on commitments made to the customer; - Effective communication abilities in English is essential to the success of this role;
- Good analytical skills, problem solving and decision making capabilities;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) as well quickly being able to learn new systems quickly.
