Senior Accountant Real Estate
Job Description
Our Client is a real estate management company with an integrated view on providing the complete package of
property and asset management services to property investors and owners.
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Bucharest finance team
Main Responsibilities and tasks:
- Execution of day to day accounting operations for the relevant companies assigned;
- Prepares and submits to the Romanian tax authorities (including signing as CECCAR member) all
necessary tax returns or declarations at local level as required by Law, for clients assigned ( including
VAT, CIT etc. );
- Prepares and submits (including signing as CECCAR member) of annual/ half year financial statements,
as applicable, in compliance with local accounting legislation;
- Key liaison person for external auditors and tax inspections, ensuring consistency and accuracy of all
information submitted to auditors/ tax inspectors in a timely manner, and provide relevant explanations to
queries and information requests, for companies assigned;
- Preparation of reports and other information as might be required by the company;
- Assist the Chief Accountant on internal tax matters, including for tax queries from clients on an
- hoc
noncomplex matters, and when required, seek assistance from specialized tax consultants;
- Assists on the accounting analysis and preparation by other departments of financial reporting package
for each entity on
- annual basis, or as might be otherwise agreed with clients;
- Review the group’s accounting policies for adjustment with clients reporting standards, where allowed by
Romanian GAAP;
- Supports implementation and maintenance of internal processes and procedures within the organization
and its clients;
- Ensure compliance with appropriate local accounting and other regulatory requirements;
- Additional accounting duties, as necessary and defined by management.
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting/ Finance;
- CECCAR active member, mandatory;
- 5+ years of relevant work experience of accounting and/or tax compliance; ideally previous exposure to
real estate industry;
- Excellent knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards;
- Fiscal knowledge of value added tax, corporate income tax, withholding tax;
- Fluent or capable of working in Romanian and English;
- Good knowledge in Excel; Power
Point and Word are a plus;
