Role description:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Analyst to support the migration of the General Ledger (GL) accounting system from a legacy platform to a modern, scalable architecture within our bank environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in GL/accounting systems, Oracle PL/SQL packages, payment transaction processing, data integration and ETL/big data pipelines and a clear understanding of how various applications interface with the GL system. You will also lead
- migration support and adapt feeder and consuming systems to align with the new GL environments. We believe in thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyze the
- state General Ledger system including financial data models, chart of accounts, accounting logic and Oracle packages - Work with finance, risk and IT teams to define requirements and technical mapping from legacy to the new GL platform and additional support interfaces
- Translate functional requirements into technical specification and integration designs Identify all upstream (feeder) and downstream (consumer) applications that exchange data with the GL system, such as core banking, payments, credit/lending and reconciliation platforms
- Assess current interfaces and define the required adaptation to align with the new GL systems' architecture and data model
- Redesign or enhance integration mechanisms (e. g. API,
- based or
- base) for seamless data exchange - Lead the analysis and mapping of legacy financial data to the new GL system, including historical balances and active transactions
- Ensure data integrity, consistency and traceability across systems during migration and cutover activities
- Assist developers in translating or refactoring custom Oracle logic into modern services or cloud-native solutions
- Analyze and document existing packages/store procedures and financial batch processes for adaptation or replacement
- While a separate Reconciliation Team is responsible for building and managing reconciliation flows, you will:
- Ensure data structures, interfaces and posting logic are designed to support reconciliation needs
- Coordinate closely with the reconciliation team to validate data integrity between source systems and GL
- Contribute to solution design using modern architectural patterns (APIs, microservices,

Profile :
- Previous experience (minimum 10 years of experience) as a Technical Analyst, Integration Analyst or System Analyst, in banking or financial services
- Proven experience with General Ledger system migrations and financial integration
- Strong command of Oracle PL/SQL including reading and adapting stored procedures and packages
- Experience working with payment systems and understanding
- level accounting logic - Solid understanding of application integration (file-based, API, messaging) especially in finance environments
- Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements (business requirements, functional specifications) and creating solution/sequence diagrams/data models
- Solid understanding of modern architectural principles, including: microservices and event-driven architectures, API gateways and RESTful APIs, cloud platforms
- Quick adaptability to new technologies with minimal formal training
- Proficiency in utilizing Atlassian Tools: Jira and Confluence, along with draw. io and plant
UML skills - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiar with varying project environments (waterfall, scrum/agile)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of liaising between technical and
