Our product:

One of our longstanding clients is a Federal organization in Germany, that acts as an official authority to its members and offers a range of IT services.

As their trusted partner, we are excited to start work on a new
- year product – a
-
- heavy web application, that digitalizes large parts of the official communication between the Federal organization, its members, and other public institutions.

What are you going to do?

We need a skilled Angular Engineer to join us and work on building the product from scratch, together with our team. You will be doing mostly Front-end development, but we would also appreciate (nice to have) some Java Back-end expertise, or the desire to gain such throughout the course of your work with us.

In the first 3 weeks, you will:

• Join our team and get introduced to our company
• Get familiar with the project
• Understand our Agile methodologies
• Start with small tasks

In the first 3 months, you will:

• Get a deeper understanding of our business domain
• Get involved in our regular meetings
• Get a better understanding of our overall software architecture

In the first 6 months, you will:

• Get involved in architectural discussions and give suggestions
• Be a part of
  -
  - related decisions

In the first year, you will:

• Pro-actively suggest UX, technical and architectural improvements
• Implement new features
• Play a crucial role in the overall development and further improvement of our product

Your skills and experience:   

• 4+ years of experience in web development and
  - end technologies
• Strong knowledge of
  - page web applications, technologies, and services
• Solid experience with Angular and expertise in creating custom
  - purpose modules and components that extend Angular’s core elements and modules.
• Deep knowledge of Typescript (decorators, generic types, enums, unions, utility types, etc. )
• Experience with web sockets
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience with RESTful Web Services
• Solid knowledge of browser APIs
• Knowledge of app performance strategies, optimization, and architecture
• Capability to apply essential software development principles (KISS, DRY, SOLID)
• Strong expertise with HTML 5, CSS 3, SASS
• Successfully completed education in Computer Science or similar
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Passion to dive into the project in the long run and participate in all stages of its development

Nice to have:

• Knowledge and experience with Java and/or Node
• Experience with Electron and its core principles and APIs
• Experience with relational DB, preferably Oracle
• Experience with Linux, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes
