We are looking for a Senior Commodity Buyer to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.

Areas of impact: Sourcing

Mission:

As part of the Sourcing team, your mission will be to manage the internal requests for goods and services, enforce the Sourcing processes all across the organization, manage and optimize the supplier base, perform market research, conduct commercial and contractual negotiations, perform the operational procurement steps like ordering and reporting.

This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities:

As part of the daily activity, you will be challenged and reworded by:

• Working as part of the Sourcing team, in a matrix organization acting both for the local entity and for the international Sourcing network
• Having the chance to build and manage supplier relationships
• Contributing to the bid, tender and supplier selection process which is mandatory and highly appreciated
• Using negotiation and communication skills for the
  - up and negotiation of contractual agreements with suppliers
• Using your value judgment to:
  • analyse commercial scope of supply/customer requirements;
  • identify alternative sources of supply and solutions;
  • influence Make or Buy decision;
  • coordinate/ produce RFQ Pack;
  • support & challenge Scope of Work & Bo
    M jointly with Project Manager and Project Sourcing Manager and implementing related Sourcing plan and Schedule

• Presenting and evaluating offers from the suppliers together with other relevant stakeholders within the organisation
• Organizing & creating sourcing reports to the respective Commodity  Manager (functional) and to the Project Manager

• Based on business needs, travel within and outside the country might be required.

Requirements:

The successful applicant should have the following skills and knowledge:

• University graduated. Economic field preferred.
• Relevant and proven experience of minimum 3 years in a Sourcing department
• Experience in sourcing metallic structures, deployable solutions and components or contributing into a company delivering these types of items will be considered a plus.
• Experience in sourcing or performing related services, like integration, installation and maintenance or contributing into a company providing these types of services will be considered a plus.
• Deep understanding of the contractual elements and contractual structure
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to understand market elements and dynamics
• Knowledge of and experience with:
  • Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • SAP (nice to have)
• Language skills: Advanced level of English. French or German are nice to have.
