Mission

You will be working on a
- critical system for a large automotive manufacturer from south Germany. The system is used in key design and data management processes of car parts prototyping. Car producers use Open
PDM for several PDM integration scenarios such as Integration PDM process for geometrical design and integration. The project's guiding principle is to build data connectors with Open
PLM toolkits. This requires the building of connectors to extract data from multiple PLM systems on several different installations, collect construction and material data, and move from one system to another.

Typical tasks are implementation of the connectors to Teamcenter and PRISMA and customizing of Open
PDM for the following requirements:

Implementation of new process requirements on the Open
PDM solution

Updates of new releases of Teamcenter, PRISMA, or IT environment (databases, app servers, operating systems, etc. ) or architectural changes
Update to new release of Open
PDM

Migration from Open
Shift to Cloud environment

A user interface is lacking since it is all about mapping systems

There will be no trival tasks, but rather real programming challenges around building integrators
Tasks:

Specification of technical solutions for business and technical requirements

Design of IT architecture and interface concept

Implementation of new features based on technical design specification

Creation of functional and
- functional tests and test concepts

Maintenance of CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, pipeline is already working, automated deployment to test VM)

Analysis and resolution of IT software problems
Maintenance of the existing code is 30%, 30% building new features, 40% optimization

Profile

Java backend developer

Languages: German - C1; English- B2

5+ years of experience in writing Java applications

Knowledge of Java (min. Java 8) and basic libraries allowing for free code creation without the use of frameworks

Knowledge of application servers (at least tomcat, nice to have: jboss, glassfish, payara) and the ability to write applications for these servers

Experience with relational databases (Postgres or Oracle), creating SQL queries

Knowledge of ORM technology (hibernate)

Knowledge of REST

Knowledge of OOP, SOLID and design patterns

Knowledge of good practices (Clean Code, Code Review)

Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (git/bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus)

Basic knowledge of XML

Completed IT technical studies

Openness to work without the use of frameworks and Io
C container

Openness to work in the 'you test and maintain what you deliver' approach - no dedicated QA in the team, developers test their changes themselves using a test environment and simulators of external systems (simulators are already available in the project)
