We’re looking for a  Senior Java Engineer with strong service architecture skills,
- on Java expertise, and a
- solving mindset to join a greenfield AI project—built from scratch.

Our partner, Romania’s leading business ecosystem for invoicing, inventory & accounting, is launching
- gen AI tools to empower entrepreneurs.

 Define the architecture. Build the foundation. Shape the future.

Remote-first, with occasional travel to Sibiu. Open to candidates from Sibiu, Bucharest, Cluj, Timișoara, or Brașov.

Main Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop a modern, scalable software platform to support our
  - generation intelligent solutions.
• Lead the creation of a
  - quality MVP, establishing a solid technical foundation with minimal technical debt.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to turn customer needs into clear, elegant, and technically sound features.
• Explore and integrate
  - edge AI technologies to deliver smart functionality that drives insight and automates complexity.
• Help define technical standards and best practices for the engineering team being assembled for this initiative.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Ensure secure, performant, and reliable
  - based deployments in alignment with modern Dev
  Ops practices.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide
  - on support across the development lifecycle to maintain high engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Technical Expertise: You bring 5+ years of
  - on experience in  Development, ideally within the Java ecosystem (Java EE / Jakarta EE), and you're confident in frontend technologies as a
  - stack developer. You’re comfortable working with Postgre
  SQL, Linux, AWS, and Git
  Hub.
• Architectural Skills: You’ve designed complex, scalable systems—preferably from the ground up—and you naturally think in terms of APIs, modularity, and
  - native principles.
• Code Quality Champion: You value clean, maintainable code, embrace automated testing, and actively avoid technical debt.
• AI Curiosity: You’re genuinely interested in AI and have explored or integrated services based on language models or other ML technologies.
• Proactive Mindset: You take full ownership of your work, from ideation to deployment, and thrive in a
  - moving, ambitious environment.
• Product-Oriented Thinking: You always keep the end user in mind and care deeply about delivering value through every feature you build.
