Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Data Engineer to join our data platform team, with a focus on building and optimizing ETL pipelines in an Azure Synapse environment. This role involves managing and maintaining critical data systems to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate with
- functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Python-based ETL pipelines in Azure Synapse

• Maintain and enhance existing pipelines for improved performance and stability

• Oversee capacity planning and sizing of cloud service components

• Manage software, infrastructure, and database operations

• Integrate with Power
  BI APIs and support reporting workflows

• Monitor system health and ensure compliance with SLA requirements

• Maintain detailed documentation for services and components

• Drive configuration and process optimizations across environments

• Coordinate release management activities with development, architecture, operations, and customer teams

• Participate in audits and risk assessments for system components

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of experience in data engineering

• 2+ years of
  - on experience with Python for data processing (e. g. , Pandas, Polars, Py
  Spark)

• 1+ year of practical experience with Microsoft Azure services

• Understanding of cloud architecture principles and ITIL framework

• Knowledge of Saa
  S-based system architecture

• Strong analytical skills with excellent organizational abilities

• Ability to work in dynamic,
  - paced environments and manage shifting priorities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Strong
  - oriented approach and teamwork capabilities

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, or Power
  BI

• Involvement in Business Intelligence (BI) or reporting projects

• Familiarity with Dev
  Ops practices and tools

• Knowledge of Data
  Vault 2. 0 architecture and methodologies
