Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery Coordinator

The Regional Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery Coordinator/Expert is responsible for developing, implementing, and governing Disaster Recovery and Service Continuity capabilities across the Ahold Delhaize Be
CSE region.
This role ensures that IT and business operations can continue or recover rapidly in case of major incidents or disasters. The position drives organizational resilience through structured DR/BC governance, regular testing, and alignment with business impact analyses (BIA).
Operating within the Be
CSE IT Operations department, the role collaborates closely with IT Directors, Infrastructure Managers, and Regional Operations teams to maintain readiness and compliance, ensuring that DR capabilities meet both business and regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities of your role.
Service Management and Delivery
- Own, implement, and continuously improve regional Disaster Recovery (DR) and Service Continuity (SC) frameworks to ensure operational resilience and compliance across all (Be
CSE) operating companies (Op
Cos). - Coordinate DR test planning, execution, and
- up across IT domains and business areas. - Ensure that all
- critical services have defined recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) aligned with Business Impact Analyses (BIA).
Leadership
- Provide leadership and coordination across IT and business stakeholders for all DR and
- related activities.
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for DR/SC within the Be
CSE region, fostering collaboration and ownership among IT and business teams. - Coach and guide operational teams on best practices for DR preparedness and response.
- Coordinate crisis response activities, ensuring clear communication, calm execution, and structured
- incident reviews. - Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and readiness throughout the organization.
Vision, Strategy and Alignment
- Align regional DR and SC strategies with enterprise risk management, IT governance, and business continuity objectives.
- Support the IT leadership team in defining strategic goals for service continuity, including technology modernization, automation, and resilience improvements.
- Ensure alignment of DR initiatives with organizational objectives, audit requirements, and global frameworks (ISO, NIS, ITIL).
- Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance resilience and efficiency of DR operations.
Promote awareness of business continuity and resilience as strategic enablers for business value and risk mitigation.
General
- Support budget planning and cost management for DR and continuity initiatives.
- Ensure accurate financial forecasting and efficient use of resources across DR-related projects.
- Maintain DR performance reporting for senior management, including KPI tracking and improvement planning.
- Ensure all DR/SC activities adhere to internal policies, legal, and compliance frameworks.

Requirements.
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience
- 4 to 6+ years of overall experience in Disaster Recovery, Service Continuity, or Business Continuity roles
in large, complex organizations
- ITIL certified
- Preferable great foundation in the Service
Now product / application area - Proven track record managing DR testing, documentation, and audit compliance
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (cloud environments and setups, Windows, AIX, Linux, AS400), virtualization (VMware), storage and backup systems (Networker, Data Domain), and networking fundamentals
- High integrity, initiative, and ownership mindset
- Ability to lead without direct authority and build collaboration across teams
- Focus on delivering value at every iteration
