Site Survey Specialist
Job Description
• Under limited supervision, normally receives little instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
• Conducts surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and
- made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic
- measuring equipment and other surveying instruments.
• Operates and manages
- information computer systems, performs tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports.
• Reviews information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface.
• Researches legal records, looks for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzes the data to determine the location of boundary lines.
• Records the results of surveys, verifies the accuracy of data, and prepares plots, maps, and reports.
• An experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization.
• Works on problems of diverse scope.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
-Produce drаwings, layouts, sketchеs, mаps, аnd grаphics of enginееring dеsigns using
- aidеd drafting software
-Digitizing Property Deeds using Auto
CAD Civil 3D.
-Requires a good working knowledge of Auto
CAD, Auto
CAD Civil 3D, Property deeds documents, and technical knowledge
-Produce detailed,
- quality cartographic products and accompanying reports
-Compile, manipulate and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including, but not limited to field observation, digital aerial photography, and existing maps, property deeds
-Perform regular quality control checks of GIS Data and
- spatial databases
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must have bachelor's degree in geodetic engineering.
- 6 years of experience in topographical surveying and drafting design.
- 6 years of experience using Auto
CAD Civil 3D
- 6 years of experience in Land Registry
- Preferred at least one year of GIS experience
- Experience with survey instruments, Total Stations and GNSS Receivers with a solid understanding of, coordinate systems, projections and spatial data management.
- Experience managing small projects, and junior staff.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in standard office suite software applications.
- Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees.
- Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Ability to learn through
