As a SMT Process Engineer II (placement process) here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in optimizing surface mount technology (SMT) processes, ensuring operational excellence and product quality. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.

In this role, you will impact the organization by driving process improvements that lead to reduced costs, increased productivity, and enhanced product quality, ultimately supporting our commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Define and document technical specifications for SMT placement equipment and materials used in the production process, ensuring compliance with industrial standards and customer requirements.

Collaborate closely with the technical team to develop, validate, and update preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for SMT placement equipment, minimizing downtime.

Continuously monitor process parameters and device performance for each product type or family to ensure operational quality and efficiency.

Participate in the evaluation and selection of indirect materials used in the production process to optimize costs and improve process performance.

Assess and test production placement equipment and devices to identify potential issues and propose technical improvement solutions.

Analyze the impact of product or process modifications on efficiency, costs, and ergonomics, contributing to the implementation of effective and sustainable solutions.

Responsible for documenting and validating new or modified processes, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards throughout all manufacturing stages.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in SMT placement processes, preferably in a similar role within an electronic equipment manufacturing company.

Proficient in operating ASM and Fuji equipment.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power
Point).

Intermediate proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
