Requirements and responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Engineer with strong SQL and cloud data expertise to join our data engineering team. This is a
- critical role focused on building scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions on Snowflake to support compliance, risk, and enterprise data initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that data products are trusted, performant, and aligned with governance and reporting requirements.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop scalable data models, pipelines, and transformations using Snowflake and advanced SQL;
- Build and optimize ELT workflows to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery;
- Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver trusted,
- quality datasets for reporting and analytics; - Optimize query performance and manage Snowflake compute/storage resources to ensure cost efficiency;
- Implement and maintain security, access controls, and data governance policies in the Snowflake environment;
- Provide technical leadership on Snowflake best practices, architecture patterns, and platform design;
- Participate in code reviews, peer collaboration, and knowledge sharing to raise team capability;
- Contribute to standards, documentation, and operational excellence within the data platform.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development, with significant
- on experience in Snowflake; - Expertise in Snowflake design and administration, including schema design, performance tuning, and
- based access control; - Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations, query optimization, and troubleshooting;
- Experience integrating Snowflake with upstream data sources and downstream BI/analytics tools;
- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and quality frameworks;
- Familiarity with compliance or regulated data environments is a strong plus;
- Proficiency with data integration and orchestration tools (e. g. , dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Informatica) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP);
- Strong
- solving ability, with excellent communication and collaboration skills; - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
