What you’ll be working on

The role of a Software Quality Assurance Tester will act as part of the testing team to ensure the testing functionalities of a C2 software applications, in line with internal engineering and quality procedures, to include:

• Creating and maintaining test documentation: test plans, test procedures, test reports, bug reports;
• Technical activities such as installation, configuration, software testing, technical support, working at the company's offices and / or out of office (Beneficiary office)
• Estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities
• Implement test environments, assist with tools and simulations
• Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system
• Identifies, records, documents thoroughly and track bugs
• Reviews requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Creates detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• When appropriate, designs, develops and executes automation scripts using open source tools
• Performs thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develops operation and administration manuals for tested software functionalities ▪ Provides technical support in end-user training activities for software applications tested

Requirements:

• Software testing principles (BlackBox Test, Smoke Test, Regression Test, etc. )
• Ability to understand and create test plans/test cases/testing reports
• Strong QA skills for bug isolation and reporting and root cause analysis
• Strong analytical skills, capability to understand complex standards and corellate information from these documentation
• Knowledge on methods for testing Windows desktop and Web applications
• Knowledge on testing various backend APIs using tools like Postman, SOAP UI
• Windows operating system and Active Directory knowledge
• TCP / IP protocol stack knowledge
• Ability to understand the business case and system requirements
• Knowledge of English language at an average level, written and spoken
• Good communication skills and ability to efficiently collaborate with development, IT infrastructure and business analysis teams

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of working experience in testing

Nice to have:

• ISTQB certification will be highly advantageous.
• Open to learning automation testing
• Capacity to use AzureDevOps (or Team Foundation Server)
• Military domain knowledge would be an advantage but it’s not a must
