Job Title: Solar Power Service Engineer
Job Location: Bucharest, Romania
Main Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Support
- Provide technical support during
- sales activities, including testing and workshops with customers and partners. - Contribute to technical sections of bids and proposals.
- Present solar products and services at industry exhibitions.
- Track and resolve issues arising during testing, workshops, or bidding activities.
- Provide technical support during
- Engineering Support
- Supervise project engineering processes, including
- off meetings, hardware/software oversight, and acceptance testing. - Conduct site surveys, installation, and commissioning when required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- site in collaboration with engineering partners.
- Supervise project engineering processes, including
- Maintenance & Service Support
- Deliver hotline and Level 2 engineering support.
- Provide SLM and TLM support independently or alongside the technical support team.
- Intervene
- site for major issues beyond the capability of customers or subcontractors, in line with SLA commitments. - Manage technical cases through the ticketing system.
- Execute network upgrades and swaps according to team planning.
- Monitor and improve the quality of
- site operations, including quality analysis and process updates.
- Health, Safety & Work Environment
- Work with live
- phase electricity (up to 35k
V AC / 1500V DC). - Perform manual handling and
- distance driving. - Operate in outdoor environments, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
- Work with live
- Key Stakeholders
- External: Developers, EPCs, funders, distributors, service partners, installers (Solar and MV systems).
- Internal: Account teams, logistics, customer services, R&D, and partner engineering teams.
Requirements:
- B. Sc. or M. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or formal qualification as an electrician.
- Minimum 3 years in the solar energy industry,
- voltage systems, or related technical/commissioning services. - Strong knowledge of electrical systems and power networks.
- Hands-on experience with solar,
- voltage systems, and transformer stations. - Practical experience with both DC and AC current.
- Licensed to operate
- voltage systems (as required by local regulations). - Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and specifications.
- Solid understanding of PV plant and rooftop structures.
- Multi-skilled in both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical work.
- Experience in troubleshooting, failure investigations, and providing technical advice.
- Proven background in customer service and technical support.
- Ability to quickly absorb and clearly communicate technical information.
- Skilled in building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Approachable, adaptable, and
- oriented. - Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Strong awareness of
- site safety responsibilities, including team safety. - Valid driving license.
