Solar/PV Sales Manager

Role title
Sales Manager Romania - Solar PV Structures
Location and work model
Fully remote, with regular travel across Romania, and also occasional travels to Poland, Czech Republic and Greece, where expenses are going to be reimbursed.

Direct report to General Manager in China
Role mission
Build and convert a PV structures sales pipeline across Romania as the first priority, then expand coverage to additional markets such as Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, and potentially Middle East depending on candidate footprint and client needs.
Top 5 objectives
1 Build a qualified pipeline in Romania within the first weeks and keep weekly momentum
2 Convert first wins via tenders, EPC partnerships, and developer relationships
3 Establish a clear bid to contract operating rhythm with China HQ support
4 Build repeatable account plans for top EPCs and developers across assigned markets
5 Maintain commercial hygiene: forecast, weekly reporting, delivery coordination, and collections discipline
Key responsibilities
1 New customer and project development
Identify, qualify, and develop new PV customers and projects
Build relationships with EPCs, developers, IPPs, installers, and procurement stakeholders
Conduct customer visits and structured outreach, including trade events where relevant
2 Account management and customer care
Maintain relationships with existing accounts through regular contact and visits
Conduct follow ups on historical projects, satisfaction checks, and relationship building
Manage key stakeholders with professional communication and appropriate hospitality
3 Bidding and contract management
Track tender pipelines, competitor positioning, and regional price benchmarks
Prepare and coordinate bid documents, technical clarifications, and contract materials
Support internal review, organize bid evaluation steps, and drive to signature
4 Pre sales to after sales coordination
Coordinate early stage project analysis, solution selection, and budget estimation
Run cross functional alignment with engineering, supply chain, delivery, and quality
Coordinate issue resolution and customer complaints management
5 Order execution and collections
Ensure clean handover from contract to delivery
Follow agreed payment milestones and drive accounts receivable follow up
6 Reporting and internal contribution
Provide weekly project and pipeline reporting, with risks and next actions
Support exhibitions and marketing initiatives that open new channels
Complete additional tasks assigned by the department and leadership
Requirements
Must have
- 5 to 8 years sales experience in PV solar or adjacent energy infrastructure
- Proven tender and bid management experience
- Ability to travel frequently across multiple countries
- Romanian and English conversational
- Driver license
Strong plus
- Experience selling trackers, mounting systems, steel structures, or adjacent BOS components
- Network in Romania plus at least one of Poland, Czech Republic, Greece
- Comfortable working with China HQ, with flexibility and open minded communication
If you enjoy building a territory from scratch, working cross border, and selling into utility scale PV projects with clear ownership, this is a high autonomy role with room to expand markets.
