Our Global Sourcing Centres are responsible for the execution of our strategic sourcing projects for all globally managed commodities. As part of the Global Sourcing team you will manage
- million dollar projects that deliver outstanding results in terms of reducing costs, securing capacity and assuring quality. You will interact with stakeholders in our Category, Business Lines and Geography teams to align on strategy and project deliverables. You will be responsible to deliver a pipeline of projects from definition through to implementation, ensuring timely completion of each step as well as keeping stakeholders are updated on project progress. As part of the Global Sourcing team you will also have the opportunity to work with other team members in our sourcing centre network on initiatives that continually develop our knowledge sharing, processes & procedures and digitalisation of the function.

Ideal requirements

5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, planning, operations or sales

Technical understanding of oilfield equipment & services, ideally drilling equipment & operations, and associated supply chains / challenges.

Understanding of difference commercial models rental, purchase, consignment, vendor managed inventory

Project management: ability to plan & structure sourcing projects in conjunction with stakeholders.

Exposure to international markets

Exposure to demand planning

Understanding of Incoterms

Experience in Contract negotiation

Experience of Stakeholder management & engagement

Experience of Ariba sourcing

Flexibility/availability to work with project teams located in varying
- zones (between US, Europe & India) without impacting project timelines.

Key responsibilities:

Is assigned to sourcing project by a Sourcing Cell Manager.

Executes sourcing projects including:

The data collection (Spend, needs, market) and analysis

The effective location, evaluation and selection of a
- performing supply base in accordance with a
- list of preferred suppliers defined by Category managers if relevant or through new suppliers if required

The execution of RFI/Q/P (Request for Information/Quotation/information/Proposal) and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and total cost of ownership.

The supplier evaluation, assessment, qualification, and selection processes, up to parts & process qualification, in coordination with Quality standards and Supplier Managers if applicable.

The negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers in order to meet specified quality, delivery and cost objectives.

The analysis of the different offers and the recommendation of 1 or several award scenarios.

The review of the contracting process with suppliers in coordination the Contract Management Specialist.

The update / creation of sourcing guides, catalogues and BPN whenever applicable with the help of the sourcing administrative support resources.

The proper formalization of the projects through:

Proper GSC template utilization,

Reliable and timely Ariba entries.

Contributes to deliver the expected outcome within the planned budget and timeframe, and according to GSC processes on the project he/she is assigned to. Identifies and proposes to the Sourcing Leader/Manager opportunities for continuous improvement and client service attitude development. Complies with all Schlumberger, EMS and local procedures applicable to the job function.
