This purpose of the Senior MLOps Engineer role is:

ACI Worldwide, a global leader in electronic payment systems, is seeking a highly skilled Senior MLOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Limerick. This position offers a blend of
- office and remote work, designed to foster team collaboration and innovation, particularly during designated days throughout the workweek.

As part of our commitment to advancing AI and machine learning capabilities, we are expanding our operational excellence in deploying, monitoring, and scaling ML solutions. This role focuses on automation, reliability, and operationalization of AI models, ensuring they deliver value at scale in a secure and compliant environment.

You will work closely with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Teams to design robust pipelines, automate workflows, and optimize model performance in production. Your expertise will help us accelerate the delivery of AI-driven solutions across our global payments ecosystem.

A typical day at ACI for a Senior MLOps Engineer is:

Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring in production environments.

Automate workflows for data ingestion, feature engineering, model retraining, and CI/CD for ML systems.

Implement observability and monitoring tools to track model performance, data drift, and system health.

Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalize models and ensure seamless integration with business applications.

Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, security, and high availability of ML services.

Drive best practices in MLOps, including versioning, reproducibility, and governance for ML artifacts.

Work to remediate system vulnerabilities promptly.

Champion continuous improvement and automation across the ML lifecycle.

Perform other duties as assigned

Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.

Minimum 4+ years of experience in Data Science, MLOps, ML engineering or related roles.

Proven track record of deploying and managing ML models in production at scale.

Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Linux & bash commands.

Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and containerization.

Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and

- code (Terraform).

Experience with monitoring and observability for ML systems (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).

Familiarity with data versioning and model registry practices.

Strong
- solving skills and ability to automate complex workflows.

Agile methodology experience (SCRUM) and collaborative mindset.

Knowledge of security & compliance of ML systems.

Familiarity with feature stores and
- time inference architectures would be a bonus.
