David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit a Studio Animations Programmer for their Gaming studios in Bucharest, Romania.

Position:  Studio Animations Programmer

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program and operate lighting control systems for live events, broadcasts, virtual productions, and digital environments.
• Design and execute dynamic lighting sequences that react to
  - time inputs or follow scripted cues.
• Collaborate with creative, technical, and production teams to integrate lighting into physical, digital, and hybrid experiences.
• Translate design concepts into programmable cue stacks, timelines, and pixel maps.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain lighting equipment, including intelligent fixtures and
  - based systems.
• Optimize lighting for both
  - time rendering environments and video/broadcast compatibility.
• Contribute to
  - production planning, rehearsals, and
  - event evaluations.
• Document lighting setups, patching, and cue structures for consistency and repeatability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
• Background in lighting design for gaming, esports, broadcast, or interactive productions.
• Demonstrated experience with professional lighting control systems in live, virtual, or broadcast environments.
• Strong understanding of DMX, Art-Net, s
  ACN, and related lighting control protocols.
• Hands-on experience with moving lights, LED arrays, and other advanced lighting technologies.
• Familiarity with show control workflows, including syncing lighting with video and audio.
• Knowledge of
  - time rendering or streaming production environments is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational,
  - solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to
  - paced,
  - driven productions.
• Experience with
  - time virtual production platforms (e. g. , Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Scripting or automation skills (e. g. , Lua, Python, or similar for show control).
• Strong grasp of color theory and visual storytelling in digital and hybrid spaces.
